Visual Studio Mac Won't Show iOS Simulators. Ask Question. Up vote 2 down vote favorite. I've got a Xamarin Forms solution with iOS and Android projects. The iOS side was working, I switched over and did a bunch of work on the Android side. Can't launch iOS Simulator from Visual Studio 2015 after Mac Update from 10.0 to 10.1. I'm using Visual Studio 15.8.2.NET 4.7.03056 with a Xamarin.Forms project. I can build everything fine -- it connects to the Mac and builds the app perfectly. But when I try to run from the IDE using the iPhoneSimulator on iPhone 8 iOS 11.4 it gets stuck in a loop trying to open the simulator.
I have connected to Mac in same network. Login is successful, user has been logged in on Mac. Tools - Options - Xamarin - iOS Settings Apple SDK: Use default Xcode path - Checked Apple Documentation: Keep API documentation on sync - Uncheked Simulator: Remote Simulator to Windows - Checked But when I try to run xamarin iOS project with simulator it shows iOS Simulator window with Connecting to Mac. Update: If I Uncheck Remote Simulator to Windows, simulator gets launched on Mac machine, but when checked this wont show simulator on Windows just keeps showing Connecting to Mac. I tried. restarting Visual studio.
Upgrading Visual Studio for Mac on Mac machine. Changed simulator phone.
Nothing seems to work. Whats the issue here?
